Common questions
Is this the Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire?
No. This is a short, light quiz inspired by the idea behind the Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (Horne and Östberg, 1976). It is not that validated questionnaire and cannot measure your body clock exactly.
Can a night owl become a morning person?
You can shift your body clock somewhat. Light is the strongest signal for your internal clock, so morning daylight, a steady wake time and dim evenings help. Change gradually. Your natural tendency may not disappear completely.
When should I talk to a doctor about my sleep timing?
Talk to a doctor if your sleep times cause real problems with work, family or health, if you cannot sleep at the times you need to, or if you feel very sleepy during the day. A sleep specialist can check for body-clock sleep disorders and other sleep problems.
