Windows
A Microsoft Store version is on its way. Until then, install it straight from the website:
- Open MindCheck in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
- Click Install as an app under the check, or the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
- MindCheck opens in its own window and appears in the Start menu. You can pin it to the taskbar.
Mac
- In Safari (macOS Sonoma or later): open MindCheck, then choose File → Add to Dock.
- In Chrome or Edge: click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
- MindCheck appears in the Dock and in Launchpad, and opens in its own window.
iPhone and iPad
- Open MindCheck in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow), then Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. MindCheck appears on your home screen and opens full screen.
Android
- Open MindCheck in Chrome.
- Tap Install as an app under the check, or the menu ⋮ → Install app (or Add to Home screen).
MindCheck is not a diagnosis, and it does not replace a doctor or counselor. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (US).
Common questions
Is the app different from the website?
No. It is the same check and the same report. The app simply opens on its own, without the rest of the website around it, and works offline.
Where do my answers go?
Nowhere. The check is scored on your device. A summary of your scores (not your answers) stays in the app so next time you can see what changed. It is synced to your account, encrypted, only if you sign in.
Does it update?
Yes, automatically, the next time you open it with an internet connection.
How do I remove it?
Remove it like any other app: right-click it in the Start menu (Windows), drag it out of the Dock and delete it from your Applications folder (Mac), or press and hold its icon and choose Remove (iPhone, iPad, Android).
Does it cost anything?
No. MindCheck is free, has no ads and no in-app purchases.
