Menopause Rating Scale · 11 questions · 2 minutes

Is it the change?

The Menopause Rating Scale (MRS) is used in studies in dozens of countries. It rates 11 common symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, in three groups: mood and mind, body, and bladder and sexual health. Bring your result to your doctor: it makes the conversation easier.

Common questions

Can I take this during perimenopause?

Yes. The scale is used before, during and after menopause. Many symptoms, such as poor sleep, mood swings and hot flushes, start in perimenopause, often in the 40s.

Is low mood part of menopause?

Mood changes are common around menopause, and the risk of depression rises in perimenopause. If low mood lasts most days for two weeks or more, take the depression check-in and talk with your doctor.
